WELCOME to my OLD TIME WOODWORKING... I am also a fourth generation woodworker..
The wood I use is wood I pull out of the forest with my Draft Horses..
so I Guess it fits into the style of web I'm doing to... The Real Ax men..
Skills are . You must be a Woodsmen, a Lumbermen and know What wood you can use in what Project..Drying
wood.. and utilizing Dead standing ish.. Trees..and Be a top Horsemen, File saws and tools and perform each
task as to have a functional project ...I used to love to help my Grand Father who's shop I now own ! .. He was
such a inspiration to me.. I Have a lot of the Old School in me.. and Ancient .. and the new,.. as my Dad taught
woodworking at School for 40 yrs... so it comes quite natural for me...
combining Old and New.. I do own a Old Saw Mill Still
a Bolter Circular Mill.. I use to manage and run a big saw mill..but the lumbering business is mostly gone down river.. or
up river ..and even our Ethan Allen Mill has mostly gone to China.. Well you can make alot of things though with
just simple tools.. after you develop the skills.. I will show you just a few examples here.. and hope you enjoy my Craft
. I at times still make fine furniture... But the local market here is .. very soft..
I make a lot of things out of
a need, of a pratical bases ..We can make and do most any project,,if you have something..we will give you a estimate
on all custom projects But some are just for interest or fun..!It is a real challenge to Marketing in the
Great North Woods... many days it feels like I am in ..Russia.. or trying to live in 2 or 3 time warps...
I also Run Heavy Equipment Earth Work.. and verious construction procject.. Carpentry for approved
clients..
and some ...Stone Work... But My Flurishing Horse Business. keeps me runnung pretty hard.. You
know how that is...Right !

This is a Cherry Tree Cut in the woods .. it was Dead and Dryed Standing.. most of it was still very
sound.. so i found a use for it.!
I made a Crib for my Daughter..Emily well for her new born , my Grandson...Bryce..
I pull the log out with my Horses and cut into 3-4 ft Bolts ...Split it up into halfs and 1/4s and then
just Sawed it on my 12'' table Saw..very Carefully... the rest of the Tree and wood I utilized and cut into firewood..
well your starting to get the picture.. hammer and wedges I used to Split this out.
I also do this with Ash Trees, to make Axes handles.. Eveners ..whiffle Trees. Mowing Pitmen Rods.. I can
make a lot of project lumber this way..! Back in the old day this is how project often got started..!
