Welcome Home.. I am.. We love the Functional and Diverse side of Draft Horses... I've Worked with Horses sense
I was a Kid..We always had horses,..... and my Neighbor had a Sulky Race Track and Exercise barn next door..that
ran along our fence line..So Ive always love to drive, My first driving horse was a Stallion Hackney pony I was 7 yrs
old or so .. he was all business...and more horse than most .. he was Jet Black.. and we called him Jet..he looked like a
big horse an not a pony.. He was a mover and had the best manners.. and a army like self disapline..when he stop it was always,
face forward and at full attention head up and straight forward.. such a soldier..no messing around.. a high
step'en trotten Soldier..
Well he helped to make me Love Driving..and how I love the color black..But we always like
a good horses no matter what color they are .. I think ??
Any way the Draft Horse's in the above picture where
the Real Macoy..Try hitch'n that .. a Baler Boot'n your Booty..! Surgen..Push'en .. and a Wisconsin Engine Pop'n Away..These Horses Duke &
Dollar could hold that baler better then.. my 3/4 ton Diesel Truck.. This photo was taken by my wife Tina... in
between picking up bales....These Horses where a couple of Ton,ers.. A Real 18h Show Wheeler type..
They love to Go... But Had Gears.. and Brains.. We Mowed Hay with them gave Rides ..and Weddings...
Raked and Baled.. they never new the wonder's of being a Draft.. Tell they came here... Yup there still try'n to figure me out..! and just when you thought it was safe to come out
of the Barn..! come out.. thats right... (and you thought it was go into the water ?) Naw.. dats
alright..! most of the time I just say ..Yup and Nopp ..and keep Um guessing... you never show
um all your tell's and always tyr to be underestimated any way right... I mean is'nt that what ya do..

Drafts I use to have Geldings mostly.. tell more resently... ya know, no need
to have them registered.. so not much of a listing history..you know its hard to get geldings Bred..! But Ive had some
that well.. thought they where Studs... and so we try'd for year's but um.?? I wonder...naa.. oh any
way..! it doesnt work that good..
Just me taken >>> look out... Oh.. Did I tell ya.. I Sold a Old Saw Mill
and Bought a Bunch of Computer Stuff... Ya... Oh, Get out of Town..!
I like Trainning my Horses.. and to teach some functional tasks..! I
Taught a Class once a Sterling College.. and the First thing I said was... Remember this ... "Not all Horses are Created Equal "
I think all Horses love to to see a empty wagon... but.. oh well...! I am so Fasinated
by Drafts.. I like to Train um to voice.. commands.. Long line Um.. Ground Drive um..get them to lesson real well ... Im not
much of a line Jerker.. Oh yes I Pull um.. so they know about Weight.. Drive um in a cart.. then
Pull Um some more.. and Task Rate.. them, and Im always try to Profiling them and watch thereTells.. I
like watch'n a Horse figure me out too.. and Trying to Evaluate Me ..! I
find Horses like a Honest and Fare but Firm Person..That ='s Respect.. when you will cross over into there
world.. Then they can cross over into your's ... make it a good world..! A nerves or fearful animal or person
will nervous think right... so be kind, be good, be fare, be firm...
Draft have such a Usefull Complexity with in
the Breed.. and such vast Blood Tones Now.. Cold..
Warm.. Hot. There are so many people that think of all drafts as being just cold
blooded.. but any way.. I love the diversity of the New Drafts.. The
Simbalence of the old love, and the substance of the new.! How they seem to Talk an tell me things of Long..Long..Ago.. and
getting things done in quiet and more harmonic way, a little slower sometimes... but Steady and getting the
job done, why'll still staying in touch with the Old World.. as my Forefathers did.

Oh yes, Thanks.. Honey...back to what we were talking
about... yes not all show horses can be used for all tasks.. but there breeding has a very wide range still
of functional work uses ...not all show bred horses really make only show prospects .. So.. oh im so sorry if I ..Oh
well at any time , well Im glad to untangle your Tangles.. to help..right.. I know theres a Pitch
Fork.. here some where.. But was that a right handed pitch fork.. or left..??? Boy I know .. Oh bother..
